SALT BRINE / SODIUM CHLORIDE Salt brine is a clear water and sodium chloride solution used for snow and ice control as either a pre-treatment before the storm or as a de-icing agent after. It is composed of tap water and rock salt mixed to typical concentrations of 23% salt.
